Ali Mountain is the general name of the eighteen hills including Zhu Hill and Tower Hill. The highest peak of Ali Mountain is Tower Hill with the height of 8,736 feet. Ali Mountain is world famous for its 'five rare sites' including the Sunrise, the Ali Mountain Forest Railway, the famous Alishan Sacred Tree, the Grand Sea of Clouds, and the Flamboyant Cherry Blossom.
The Ali Mountain Forest Railway is regarded as one of three mountain climbing railways. Traveling along the 236,220 feet -long railway, the train climbs from 98 feet to about 8,038 feet above sea level. Forestry used to play a crucial role in the economy. As transports for timber and supplies, forest railways were a vital lifeline.

An 11,207 foot tall mountain, Hehuan Mountain (Hehuanshan) is a well known tourist destination in Taiwan. Hehuan Mountain (Hehuanshan) lies in Central Taiwan between the counties of Nantou and Hualien.
Hehuan Mountain comprises seven peaks in total. The two peaks East Peak (3,421 mt) and North Peak (3,422 mt) are actually taller than the main peak.

Hehuan Mountain (Hehuanshan) is one of the few places in Taiwan which receives snow in winter time. In the past a ski-lift was provided on the mountain, but the inconsistency of the snow fall caused it to be abandoned.
Hehuan Mountain (Hehuanshan) has been provided with the Hehuanshan Road which runs up to Wuling, which is the highest point in Taiwan that public roads can reach. After the road ends, there is a kilometer long trail that leads up to the top of the main peak.
During wintertime Hehuan Mountain (Hehuanshan) becomes freezing cold under thick coats of snow and suddenly the once lofty and aloof mountain transforms into a benign old being welcoming all. Hehuan Mountain (Hehuanshan) has the only snow resort in Taiwan.
The scenery from Hehuan Mountain (Hehuanshan) outdoes all else in Taiwan. The area remains heavily forested, with verdant meadows and awe inspiring outgrowth of dark rocks.

The Penghu Islands is internationally known as The Pescadores, meaning "the islands of fishermen" in Portuguese. Lying on the Taiwan Strait between Taiwan and China, some reporters named the Penghu Islands "the pearls scattered in the sea by the fairy" to compliment its splendor. Penghu possesses an important geological position for it is the only island with the coastlines formed of basalt magma.
The Penghu Islands consist of 64 isles, currently there are about 92,253 people living on 20 different islands. The rest of the islands are awaiting to be discovered. Each year, Penghu attracts a great variety of artists and tourists to the islands by the energizing wind, sapphire oceans, sunshine beaches and welcoming people.
